2010 All Canada Classic Recap and Final Statistics

Girls Team Red Secures A Close Win

The Girls’ Rumble started off the 10th Annual All Canada Classic at the Air Canada Centre well with a talented group of athletes coming from all across the country to be a part of a great event that has hosted outstanding performances every year.

In front of a packed crowd both teams came out with the intention of becoming the first girls team to win at the Air Canada Centre and although it showed on both sides of the court it was Team White who got into foul trouble early. This helped to set the pace for Team Red as they were able to capitalize on Team White’s turnovers.

Point guard Noelle Zletni tried to help her team close the half with a well timed steal and two nice jumpers to follow. Still it was Team Red who could not be outdone with strong rebounding and hustle plays by Wumi Agunbiade and Natalie Achonwa, which secured Team Red a ten-point lead going into the second half.
